CITY MP IN TALKS WITH SIEMENS UNION REPS
|
Gillian Merron MP for Lincoln has been meeting with senior union representatives today to discuss minimising job losses and expanding Siemens prospects for the future.
The union representatives then met with Siemens Managers to start their negotiations to deal with the announcement of the company’s decision to reduce jobs at the Lincoln site.
Gillian Merron said:
“Any job loss is a serious blow and it’s important to help people get back into work, secure more jobs for the future and keep redundancies to a minimum.
I was keen to meet the union representatives who do a first rate job of representing the interests of Siemens workers. They, like me, know the importance of Siemens commitment to stay in Lincoln and we all want to see more jobs, investment and work coming into the Lincoln site.” |
