'ARMED FORCES AND VETERANS DAY' OUR CHANCE TO SAY ‘THANK YOU’ – CITY MP

Gillian Merron, MP for Lincoln, will be joining local people tomorrow in City Square, to celebrate the UK's first Armed Forces and Veterans Day

Armed Forces and Veterans Day has been introduced by this Government to thank and remember all those who serve and have served in our Army, Navy and Air Force. This year's inaugural theme will be honouring Britain's Armed Forces: Past, Present and Future.

Representatives from all the Armed Forces will be in Lincoln tomorrow, with veterans also on hand to share personal memories from their years of service.

Gillian Merron said

"Lincoln's Armed Forces Day is a great opportunity for our city to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community."

"I am grateful for the sacrifices that all our armed forces, past and present, have made for our country and I will be privileged to join with people in Lincoln to say 'thank you' for all that they have done."
